Here you’ll find all the practical details to help you make an informed decision about your child’s early years journey with us.

Ofsted rated ‘Good’

Ofsted is the official body that checks all nurseries in England to make sure they're providing great care for children. Their team of independent inspectors visit regularly to make sure your little one will be safe, happy and well-looked after with us.

We’re delighted to have earned a Good rating across all areas in our latest inspection – here’s what the inspectors had to say:

"Children smile with excitement as they get ready to begin their day at this welcoming nursery."

"Young babies confidently move between indoor and outdoor learning throughout the day."

"Children form good friendships with each other, playing confidently and expressing their own ideas."

"Children are highly inquisitive in their learning"

"Well-being remains at the centre of this nursery and they are supported effectively through well-established key-person relationships."

Fees & funding

We know childcare costs can feel overwhelming, so we've made our pricing as straightforward as possible. Here's everything you need to know about our fees and how government funding can help reduce what you pay.

Our Fees (from May 2025)

Full Day (7:30am - 6:30pm): £82 per day

Half Day (morning or afternoon): £41 per day

Our fees include everything your child needs, from freshly cooked meals to nappies and activities, with no hidden extras to worry about.

Government-funded childcare

The government provides subsidised childcare hours to help working families with costs. While this is often called ‘free childcare’, more accurately it's government-funded support that will significantly reduce what you pay.

Who can claim funding

  • All 3 & 4 year olds get Universal Funding, this is up to 15 hours term time only (or 11.4 hours if attending all year round)
  • Working parents of 3 & 4 year olds may get up to 15 hours term time only (or 11.4 hours all year round). When combined with the Universal Funding this totals 30 hours term time only (or 22.8 hours all year round)
  • Working parents with children 9+ months may get up to 30 hours term time only (or 22.8 hours all year round)
  • Some 2 year olds may also qualify for funded hours, dependent on your family circumstances

How funding works with our fees

When you use government funding, we exchange those funded hours against our normal fees. Any remaining hours are charged at our standard rate of £8.20 per hour.

Please note: Government rules limit funding to a maximum of 10 hours per day. Since our full day is 11 hours, there's always 1 hour charged at our hourly rate for full-day funded sessions.
Additional costs for funded children:

  • Meals and daily essentials: £12.70 per full day / £7.80 per half day

This covers all meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, nappy cream and sun cream.

Getting Your Funding

The best place to start is by visiting https://www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/ to discover what funded hours are available to your family and check your eligibility. This government website will show you exactly what support you might be entitled to.

You’ll need to complete a Parent Declaration Form every term and provide some personal information to verify eligibility.

If you qualify for working parent funding, you'll get an eligibility code to share with us. For 2-year-old funding, you'll need an authentication code from Cambridgeshire County Council if your child qualifies.

If you're claiming working parent funding, remember you must reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months when prompted by HMRC to keep your funding active.

If you’re struggling with the paperwork, don't worry – we can help to guide you through!
